Empirical is a collection of songs written between four years and one week before they were recorded in various houses, apartments, office buildings and studios in western Massachusetts and Oakland, California.

Empirical poetically weaves otherwise dense themes into liberatory sound stories.

Recorded over a month-long period characterized by the end of a relationship and strong orientation toward faith and spiritual practice, this album touches on themes of heartache, collective resilience, impermanence, trans body politics, transgenerational healing, and relationship to place.
